Actions and Progress
BUILDING ON STRONG FOUNDATIONS
The company is expanding its use of internationally certified management systems like ISO 14001 and ISO 22000. These third-party certifications provide structured processes to control environmental impact and food waste across production sites, while underpinning the company’s integrated approach to risk management, food safety, and sustainability.
Together with ongoing internal audits, customer reviews, and third-party certification processes, these frameworks guarantee consistent operational excellence and reinforce our dedication to global best practices.

ESG MEETS INNOVATION
Through the application of advanced reporting tools in the last financial year, the comprehensiveness and punctuality of the data collected could be enhanced, which supports transparent reporting and informs future sustainability strategies.
DO & CO identifies and standardizes best practices across its operations, driving improvements, such as supply chain tracking. Being able to trace our activities can contribute to reducing environmental impacts and improving social development.

SMART DESIGN, SMART IMPACT
Our design teams are continually testing innovative sustainable packaging solutions. These trials focus on identifying materials that are operationally practical and environmentally friendly. For instance, the in-house design team integrates sustainability considerations into packaging materials for airlines (e.g., lighter weight for fuel savings) and events (e.g., durable, reusable for waste reduction).

RESPONSIBLE CULINARY TRENDS
Development Chef teams innovate menus in response to demand for sustainable, market-relevant options, prioritizing seasonality, local sourcing, and quality. Menu planning and recipe development are regularly reviewed to minimize ingredient loss. Kitchen operations follow whole-product utilization methods as standard practice. We repurpose by-products from the kitchen, such as vegetable cut-offs and bones to create fresh stocks and jus. Portion sizes are carefully tailored based on actual consumption patterns. This plating strategy helps to avoid over-serving and ensures that less food goes uneaten and to waste.

EXPANDING IN THE WORLD OF SPORT EVENTS
DO & CO has started operations in the SAP Garden Events Center, in Munich, which expands our catering activities to further sports events such as basketball and ice hockey tournaments. At the new location, DO & CO has eliminated majority of single-use food serviceware by implementing reusable alternatives. A packaging model was introduced in which 85% of snack packaging and 100% of cups are reusable. Furthermore, we are also strengthening our presence in the USA by scaling our operations and building trust with customers in the region.
